Fifty Vipers with their owners take a parade lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 5/24. The Dodge Viper is the Pace car for the 80th running of the Indianapolis 500. 
The Dodge Viper GTS Coupe was the pace car for the 80th running of the Indianapolis 500 and Chrysler President Robert Lutz, a former race car driver himself, set the pace for the Indy 500. Lutz gets direction during his final practice 5/24 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from a member of the United States Auto Club, the ruling body for the Indianapolis 500. 
Robert A. Lutz, who was Chrysler Corporation President on May 26, 1996, with a Dodge Viper GTS that he drove to set the pace for the start of the 80th running of the Indianapolis 500 in Indianapolis, Indiana. (Retired - 7/1/98)
